AirshowWorld is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use any analytics SDK, advertising network, or tracking library.
📋 Information We Collect
Favourites (iCloud Private Database)
When you mark an airshow or aerobatic team as a favourite, the corresponding record identifiers (not names or personal data) are stored in your iCloud private database. This data is:
- Encrypted end-to-end by Apple.
- Accessible only to you and only on devices signed in to your iCloud account.
- Never visible to us or to other users.
Public event & team data (iCloud Public Database)
Airshow events and aerobatic team information are stored in a CloudKit public database. This data is read-only for users and contains no personal information — only event details such as names, dates, locations, and team descriptions.
Device locale
The app reads your device's region setting (Settings → General → Language & Region) to determine which aerobatic team to highlight during onboarding. This value is used locally on-device only and is never transmitted to any server.
Calendar
If you choose to add an airshow to your calendar, the app requests write-only calendar access. We only write the event you explicitly request. We do not read, store, or transmit any calendar data.
Push notifications
If you grant notification permission, Apple assigns your device an APNs token. This token is managed entirely by Apple and iCloud; we do not store or process it on any server outside of Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. Notifications are triggered by CloudKit subscription events (new or updated airshows and team records).
🚫 Data We Do Not Collect
- Name, email address, or any account credentials
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or similar)
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
- Browsing history or in-app behaviour telemetry
- Payment or financial information (the app is free with no in-app purchases)
🔗 Third-Party Services
Apple iCloud / CloudKit
AirshowWorld uses Apple's CloudKit framework to fetch public event data and to sync your private favourites. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
Push notifications are delivered via APNs as part of CloudKit subscriptions. No third-party push service is used.
No advertising or analytics SDKs
AirshowWorld does not integrate any advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK from any third-party vendor (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook, etc.).
🗂️ Data Retention & Deletion
Because we do not collect personal data on our own servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Your favourites stored in iCloud can be deleted at any time by:
- Removing all favourites inside the app (heart icon on each item).
- Deleting the app from your device — iOS will offer to also remove associated iCloud data.
- Visiting iCloud.com → Manage Storage → AirshowWorld and deleting all app data.
👶 Children's Privacy
AirshowWorld does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation and stores no personal data beyond anonymous iCloud favourites. It is suitable for users of all ages.
📝 Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Continued use of AirshowWorld after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
